Had a quick conversation with someone today about one of the keys to becoming successful in business, or in any endeavor, really.
It has to do with surrounding yourself with the right people.
People who inspire you, people who motivate you, people who believe in your dreams and help you through the rough patches (believe me, every entrepreneur has their fair share of seriously bumpy sections of road).
On top of that though, you also want to think about how you relate to the people around you. If you find yourself needing to be the smartest person in the room, the one with all the answers, chances are you are trying to know too much about too many things, and you aren’t surrounding yourself with experts in other areas.
People who have strengths that support yours, that fill in where you don’t know or don’t want to know. The most successful entrepreneurs understand there is no way that they can know everything, so they surround themselves with people who are brilliant at different things. Then, as a team, they become formidable in multiple areas.
Where can you bring in some brilliance to surround you?
