Watched Gabby Douglas get the gold in the Olympics for both the all-around competition (with 4 teammates) and the individual round. It was a wonderful competition with amazing performances by her and her peers.
During a brief interview after winning she shared this thought (it’s probably paraphrased a little, I grabbed a pen, but am not sure I caught it exactly):
“The hard days are where champions are made. If you push through the hard days you can do anything.”
It really struck home for me… it’s true. It’s the days where things are more challenging, when we don’t feel great or don’t want to do the work or feel like we’re slogging through drying concrete that we have so much opportunity to shift.
What can you do to make the hard days work for you?
