Persistance

By

“Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.” – Napoleon Hill

Was listening to music this morning as I walked in the park and the song ‘Shake It Out’ by Florence + The Machine came on my iPod (here’s a link, if you want to hear it)… there’s a line in it that says, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”

It’s so true in our businesses as well. In the moment when you feel like you are up against something so big you just won’t be able to continue is the moment just before the sun will crest the horizon and you will break through. It’s the moment just before you get the full reward from your efforts.

Stay the course, even if you have to slow down and take baby-steps. Keep going. You’ll be so glad you did.

Go for it! You can do it! :- )

Some days it’s what I need to hear too! I think I write these posts for myself as much as anyone else. And, yes, you are SO close!!! Even if they are small steps, keep taking them, rest, breathe, and take another! Love you!!

  3. Oh dear lord. I know you’re right. I hope you’re right. Did you see my post about that song the other day? I was so overwhelmed that I mis-remembered the lyrics–I thought the line was, “It’s always darkest before the STORM,” which made me really upset. I couldn’t believe it was going to get worse!

Glad I remembered the right words quickly. Thanks for sharing this Payson, I for SURE needed to hear this today. And thanks for letting us know we’re all in it together. (You too Patty!)
    xo

Oh my! I’m so glad you remembered too! Although I love storms, so for me that would be almost as good as dawn… ;- ) but I can totally see how it would be upsetting!

Glad it hit the spot for you today! And, yes, you can do it! You ARE doing it!! xoxo!
